History
The main water tank was located in the characteristic dome. The tank designed by engineer Otto Intze was made of zinc plate and could house 200 m³ of water. This Water Tower supplied the citizens with running water till 1996. After the reconstruction of the water supply system a local businessman Mr. Henryk Górny bought it and transformed into a unique tourist attraction
About Us
The Water Tower in Giżycko
is an extraordinary object. It is not only a viewing point, but also a small museum and a cafe. You can enjoy here the stunning panorama of the city and surrounding it beautiful woods and lakes. The viewing terrace is placed on the last floor.
